Game as ned kelly : a fearless and daring type of person
Game as a pissant : bold, fearless, courageous. See also "pissant"
Garage : a gas or petrol station. Pronounced "Gar-rage"
Garbo, garbologist : municipal garbage collector
Gear : clothes. See also laughing gear
Get rooted! : a vulgar and distasteful term for "get lost"
Geebung : a native born Australian living in the remote outback
Geek : an expression. eg. "Hey, take a look at this..."
Give it a break! : discontinue, cease, quit. E.g. "ya' been talking for half an hour, give it a break will ya'"
Give it a burl : try it out, have a go
Gobful, give a : to abuse somebody, in most cases justifiably ("The neighbours were having a wild party so I went and gave em' a gobful")
Gobsmacked : absolutely surprised, really astounded
Googie : An egg
Going off : used of a night spot or party that is a lot of fun - "the party was really going off"
Good oil : really useful information, a great idea, the absolute truth
Good onya : good for you mate, well done mate
Goog, as full as a : really drunk. "Goog" is a another variation of the slangword "goggie" meaning a chickens egg.
Greenie : an environmentalist
Greengrocer : 1. a person who sells fruit and vegetables. 2. a variety of cicada. See also "Pisswacker"
Grinning like a shot fox : extremely happy, smugly satisfied
Grog : liquor, beer ("bring your own grog to the party, you bludger")
Groper : a person from Western Australia
Grouse (adj.) : really great, terrific, very good. See also "extra grouse"
Grundies : undies, underwear (from Reg Grundy, a television person)
Gumtree : a native tree of Australia See also "up a gumtree"
Gutful of piss : drunk, "he's got a gutful of piss"
Gutser : to fall apart, breakdown or give up. Pronounced "Gutza"
Gyno : gynecologist
